Experience a touch of northern magic in Finland's southernmost reindeer park in Nuuksio! The area is not very large, so an hour or so is enough time to visit. The entrance fee includes lichen to feed the reindeer, campfire coffee (tea, juice) and a bun in a cosy Lappish hut.

You can also buy an amethyst mining pass on the spot, which entitles you to dig one domestic raw amethyst in our mining shelter (weather permitting). The amethyst comes with a certificate of authenticity. A small souvenir shop is open.

Arrival and parking:

We recommend arriving by public transport, as the reindeer park parking lot has limited space. The nearest larger parking area is at the Finnish Nature Center Haltia, approximately 1 km before the reindeer park.

Accessibility:

The Reindeer Park is accessed by wide wooden plank path from the car park (approx. 60 m) and a few steps at the end.

The Reindeer Park is open all year round in all weathers.
