Spend the night in an eco-friendly Igluhut at Nuuksio Reindeer Park, where you can watch and feed reindeer right from your hut’s window. The Igluhuts Naava and Pihka are located in the heart of Nuuksio National Park, about 30 km (30 min) from Helsinki city center and the airport.
Each handcrafted Igluhut is made from natural materials. The design uniquely combines centuries-old shingle technology with modern knowledge and craftsmanship. The exterior is covered with spruce shingles, while the interior features over 2,500 aspen shingles.
The Igluhut accommodates two guests in a cozy double bed and includes linen, an eco-friendly toilet, a sink for handwashing, a summer-season shower on the outdoor terrace, electric heating, a mini fridge, an electric kettle, a French press, and coffee/tea/water. There is also a gas grill on the outdoor terrace.
Check-in is at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. The accommodation includes a guided visit to the reindeer enclosure, which takes place upon arrival. The hut also provides a bucket of lichen for feeding the reindeer directly from the window.
We have two identical 2-person Igluhuts: Naava and Pihka. Pets are not allowed.
Additional options are available upon request: Breakfast supplies, evening snack basket, romance package, and bike rental, baby cot or extra mattress for a child.
Located next to Nuuksio National Park, you have easy access to the surrounding nature. Marked nature trails begin right at the corner. The Finnish Nature Centre Haltia and Restaurant Haltia are located one kilometer away, while Swinghill Ski Resort and Bike Park are approximately 700 meters away from the Igluhuts.
Please note: There are no grocery stores in Nuuksio National Park. The café/restaurant at the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia (1 km from the Reindeer Park) is open during certain hours, which can be checked on their website.
