Nuuksio Reindeer Park is the most southerly destination in Finland where you can see reindeer. The park is home to 7 reindeer all year round. Our reindeer have their own fenced area next to the national park, about half an hour's drive from the centre of Helsinki.

You can visit the park during public opening hours, no advance booking is required. It is possible to book a private visit at other times. Please ask available visiting times in advance by e-mail:

Visiting time: About an hour is usually enough time, the area is not very large. There is a reindeer feeding terrace, a teepee, a souvenir shop and an amethyst mine shelter.

Accessibility: The reindeer park is accessed by wide wooden plank path from the car park and there are a few steps at the end of the path. The terrain is rocky and rooted and therefor it is unfortunately not accessible.

The reindeer park is open in all weathers.

Entrance fee: 25€/10€/60€ includes lichen to feed the reindeer, a campfire coffee and a bun or stick bun grilling over an open fire in the atmospheric Lappish Teepee. Our staff will tell you about the reindeer. In December, warm glogg and gingerbreads are served by a campfire in the cosy Lappish teepee.

Parking place: There is limited parking space in our yard and the same car park is also used by guests staying at the Bear's Nest Villa. You can also leave your car in the Safaritalo's courtyard, at Nuuksiontie 77 (about 300 m before the reindeer park) or in the large parking lot of Haltia, about 1 km before the reindeer park.
